I received a pleasant surprise in my mailbox just awhile back that a photo of mine had won 2nd place in the ACMA (Archdiocesan Commission for Missionary Activity) Mission Photo Contest and I thought to myself, wouldn't this be a great blog launch post?
The rules for the competition were simply that the photos were to be taken within a two year time frame. Fortunately, I blogged while on mission in Hué (Vietnam) last year because I hadn't many photos left from an external hard disk failure several months back. This image was taken when I was documenting the work of the Daughters of the Immaculate Mary (FMI) in Ho Chi Minh.
Titled "Be My Baby", it shows an elderly nun tenderly watching over an orphan.
